DeSerres gold sheets are thin and volatile and must be handled with care. They take on the shape of the piece to be covered perfectly, such as a frame, vase or piece of furniture.
The DeSerres gold sheet should be covered with a varnish in order to prevent oxidation. For an antique effect, use a glaze. Apply with a paintbrush to remove the excess and polish with a soft cloth for a smooth effect.
