Deserres.ca offers shipping within Canada only.
Free shipping *
To benefit from free shipping, your order must come to a total of at least $75
before taxes.
Shipping fees *
For purchases totalling less than $75 before taxes, basic shipping
fees are as follows:
- Quebec and Ontario: $6
- Elsewhere in Canada: $15
- Northwest Territories: $30
* Additional fees may apply for remote areas or for any
of the reasons given below:
As with deliveries to remote areas, additional fees may be applied for large-sized
articles, hazardous products and parcels weighing over 4.5 kg (10 lb.).
On the website, hazardous products, large-sized articles and parcels weighing over
4.5 kg (10 lb.) are identified as such in the product description. Deserres.ca cannot
be held responsible if a given product is not so identified and additional shipping
fees are applicable. When additional shipping fees are applied, you will be notified
by email by DeSerres Customer Service.
Delivery time
Delivery time depends on the destination of the parcel plus 1 to 5 working days
for processing. As soon as we ship your parcel you will be notified by email, along
with an ID code with which you can track your parcel on the carrier
website.

Shipping
All orders are shipped via third party carrier. The parcel must be received and
the delivery slip signed. The shipping address can be different from the billing
address. No deliveries can be made to post office boxes. The payment transaction
must be completed and accepted before deserres.ca will ship your order.
Delivery of your order is subject to the terms and conditions of the carrier. If
you are absent when your order is delivered, it will be your responsibility to pick
up your parcel as specified by the rules of the carrier. Your order will be shipped
to the address provided when you placed your order. Shipping fees are not calculated
per item, but per order (an order being composed of any number of items).
Your order will be shipped as soon as possible once your order is accepted. Delivery
time may vary depending on the availability of products in stock.

Check your email for a message with the tracking number for your parcel. With this
number, you can check the status of your shipment on the carrier website.
Sales policy
Prices for each product you order through deserres.ca are the prices displayed on
the Website at the time of your purchase. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
Shipping and handling, and applicable taxes, are not included in
the price.
Deserres.ca reserves the right to modify the prices displayed on its Website at
any time and without prior notice.
Prices displayed on deserres.ca may differ from prices in physical DeSerres stores.
Payment methods and billing
Payment by credit card is the only accepted form of payment for
products displayed on deserres.ca. Accepted credit cards are VISA, MasterCard,
and American Express. When you purchase a product on deserres.ca you
may print a preliminary invoice. The confirmation email that you will receive shortly
thereafter from deserres.ca also constitutes a preliminary invoice.
Accepting or refusing a purchase order
Receiving an order confirmation email from deserres.ca does not necessarily mean
that deserres.ca has accepted your order, and does not confirm that deserres.ca
is under obligation to sell the products included in the order.
Deserres.ca reserves the right, without any or further notice, to refuse to do business
with a client and/or to establish limited quantities for any product included in
an order.
Guarantees
The Quebec Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Act provide guarantees in the
event of hidden defects and for the use of the goods sold. These guarantees also
apply to the present sale. In no case does this guarantee minimize or cancel the
manufacturer’s legal guarantee, if applicable.
Out-of-stock products
An out-of-stock product is a product that is not available, making it impossible
to fulfill a complete purchase. It is possible that the product is being ordered,
not available, or recalled by the manufacturer. It may also mean that a product
has been discontinued (in this case, you will be notified at a later date).
Deserres.ca displays all the products that can be ordered from its suppliers. Please
note that the products are not always immediately available at DeSerres stores or
in the Webstore inventory. In the event that deserres.ca must wait for an out-of-stock
product to be made available by suppliers, your order may be put on hold before
it is shipped.
Deserres.ca does not guarantee the availability of products displayed on its Website.
Please note that orders for out-of-stock products that have not been processed by
suppliers after seven (7) days will be cancelled. DeSerres Customer
Service will notify you accordingly.
Deserres.ca is not responsible for any prejudices caused by any product being out
of stock.
Product availability
Deserres.ca cannot guarantee the availability of merchandise displayed on its Website.
However, if deserres.ca cannot ship one or more ordered products due to a stock
shortage, you may choose to receive a partial order or to wait for the missing merchandise
in order to receive a complete delivery.
In such event, deserres.ca will notify you by email when the merchandise becomes
available.
In the case where you choose partial delivery, deserres.ca will only bill you for
products shipped. The remaining products will be billed to you only when they have
been shipped. Deserres.ca will pay the basic shipping fees for this second shipment.
However, if your order has to be shipped to a remote area, or consists of large
or hazardous products, or is over 4.5 kg (10 lb.), the balance of the shipping fees
will be billed to you. A Customer Service representative will notify you by email
of the amount of the additional charge before concluding the transaction.
Deserres.ca cannot be held responsible for any damages caused by any type of stock
shortage.
Product description
DeSerres takes every effort to ensure that the product information displayed on
the Website is accurate. However, DeSerres does not guarantee that a product description,
or any other content on deserres.ca, is accurate, complete, reliable, up to date,
or free of errors.
If you receive a product displayed on deserres.ca that does not correspond to its
description, your only recourse is to return it to us in its original condition.
Prices
All prices on deserres.ca are displayed in Canadian dollars, and applicable taxes
will be added. All orders, whatever their origin, are payable in Canadian dollars.
Deserres.ca reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Products are always
charged based on the price at the time an order is registered.
Taxes
Deserres.ca calculates taxes based on the address to which the order will be shipped.
For orders shipped within Canada, the taxes will depend on the province. For example,
for Quebec the taxes to be added are the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the Provincial
Sales Tax (PST).
Payment
All purchases are payable by credit card only. Purchase transactions are sent for
processing to Desjardins through Optimal Payments’ secure gateway. Only American
Express, MasterCard, and Visa cards are accepted. The amount indicated
must be paid using the procedure described during registration. The customer agrees
to pay the total cost and fees related to the product purchased, including taxes.
Deserres.ca may modify the price after proper notification to the customer. The
customer alone is responsible for the actual payment for a product. The customer
bears sole responsibility for the credit card payment for the service offered. Deserres.ca
is not responsible for any payment problems that may arise through the use of Desjardins'
e-commerce service or Optimal Payment’s secure gateway.
Risks
All purchases through deserres.ca are accepted on the basis of a shipping contract.
This means that any risks involving loss or ownership related to the merchandise
are transferred to you when we hand off the merchandise to the carrier.
Security and confidentiality
Online shopping with DeSerres is secure. Your personal information, as well as information
about your credit card, is transmitted electronically in encrypted form to ensure
that it remains confidential. It cannot be intercepted, altered or decoded by a
third party.
DeSerres and its partners comply with SSL encryption standards, ensuring that your
transaction will always be transmitted securely. Your payment is sent for treatment
to Desjardins through the Optimal Payment secure gateway.
DeSerres does not store any computer data about credit card information, from any
transaction, and does not have access to your credit card number. For this reason,
you must resubmit your credit card information with each new transaction.
DeSerres is committed to protecting your personal data and your private life. However,
no security mechanism is perfect, and you should know that there is always a certain
risk that the personal information you transmit to deserres.ca may be divulged through
no fault on the part of deserres.ca and without your consent. Deserres.ca declines
any responsibility in the event that such confidential information about you is
divulged, except in the case of negligence on the part of deserres.ca.
Databases
In certain circumstances, such as making a purchase or registering for a contest,
deserres.ca may require that you provide your name, address, email address, and
if you agree, other information. As much as possible, deserres.ca will provide you
with a way to verify that any personal information you transmit is accurate and
up to date. All information concerning payment of your order is external to the
deserres.ca website. The information that deserres.ca collects enables us to open
an account in your name, to process your orders, to contact you in the event that
you win a prize in a contest, to personalize our interaction with you, and if you
so approve, to occasionally send you personalized information about the Website
and our products. Under no circumstances will deserres.ca disclose your personal
