Now that your shopping is done it’s time for some creative gift wrap ideas! Try this simple 3D cut paper wrapping to add a unique look to your gifts this season.
MATERIALS:
- 2 colours of kraft paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Cutting mat
- Pencil
- Precision craft knife
INSTRUCTIONS:
How to cut unique gift wrap
Step 1:
Wrap your package in coloured kraft paper or wrapping paper.
Step 2:
Cut a piece of kraft paper big enough to wrap around your gift. If the paper has a wrong side and a right side, flip the paper over to the wrong side. Draw triangles all over your paper. Draw a line down the center of each triangle dividing it in two. Leaving a few millimetres of space to either side of the center line, cut each side of the triangles with a precision craft knife. DO NOT cut through the center line.
Step 3:
Wrap your gift as normal in the sliced paper.
Step 4:
Using the very tip of your craft knife, carefully lift the edges of the triangles and bend each side back along the center line to create 3D gift wrap that is sure to impress.
TIPS:
Keep your triangles centered on the paper as you will need to keep the sides of your paper in one piece to make it easier to wrap.
