Folded Paper Gift Wrap

You only need a few tree branches, small wooden shapes and an elegant folding technique to create an enchanting landscape or any other design of your choice. Add a special souvenir to make your gift extra special. Because a picture is worth a thousand words!

MATERIALS:

  • Brown kraft paper
  • Wooden shapes
  • Glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • Double-sided tape
  • White Posca marker 1.5 mm
  • Scissors
  • Folding tool
  • 4 × 4 in. photo
  • White, glitter gift wrap
  • Red hemp twine
  • Canvas ornament
  • Pencil
  • Black Posca marker 0.7 mm
  • Fir branch

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

VERSION 1

Step 1 : 

Wrap the gift in brown kraft paper.

Step 2 : 

Cut a strip of kraft paper and create an accordion fold.

Step 3 :

Stick the folded paper strip around the gift with double-sided tape.

Step 4 : 

For snow; draw circular shapes with a white Posca marker on each row of folded paper.

Step 5 : 

Glue wooden shapes onto the gift wrap.

Step 6 :

Place a few fir branches in the paper folds.

 

VERSION 2

Step 1 :

Wrap the gift in white, glitter gift paper.

Step 2 : 

Using double-sided tape, stick the photo on top of the gift wrap.

Step3 : 

Draw a banner on the canvas ornament with a pencil. Go over the drawing with the Posca marker and write a first name in the centre.

Step 4 : 

Wrap red hemp string around the gift and add a small fir branch.

VERSION 3

Step 1 :

Wrap the gift in brown kraft paper, creating an accordion-style fold on top for finishing.

Step 2 : 

Using double-sided tape, stick the photo on top of the gift wrap.

Step3 : 

Wrap red hemp string around the gift and make and a pretty bow.

 

Once the gift is unwrapped, photos can bring back great memories and are easy to keep!
