Mangaka 101 is a series of 10 introductory classes on manga drawing.
Participants will explore the graphic and storyboard techniques specific to manga: how to draw characters from head to toe, fluid movement, and its effect on clothing.
This 10-part drawing class is intended for adults who wish to learn about manga drawing techniques.
The first few lessons will introduce participants to the technical elements of creating characters: faces, hair, expressions, and human body. Next, participants will learn about drawing clothes and creating a character sheet before practicing everything on a final illustration that will also serve to learn about light and shadow effects.
