Abstract Acrylic Landscapes (FR)

Create abstract acrylic landscapes using a small palette of warm colours! In this two-hour workshop, you will create colourful backgrounds, which you will then enhance with textures, contrasting colours, thin transparent layers of colour, and more. You will also explore the use of acrylic markers to jazz up your compositions.

The workshop will be fast paced, on four alternating canvases – Julie will guide you through all the steps. The perfect workshop to discover and explore DeSerres’ new Dacryl acrylic paint!

Open to beginners and intermediates.
Ages 14 to 99.

*This workshop is recorded (you will receive the video link 48 to 72 hours after the workshop)

Part 1: Coloured backgrounds

To begin, Julie will explain how to apply your colours in thin layers and create fresh-on-fresh fades using the Catalyst silicone tool. This is where you will create your first textures and highlights.

Part 2: Enhancing your base coat

In Part 2, you will explore a variety of techniques. These include adding thin, transparent layers of colour, working with textures by adding and removing paint to create different effects, as well as tips and tricks for working with composition, highlighting an element, or correcting a mistake.

Part 3: Finishing touches

To conclude the workshop, you will apply final details, such as contrasting colour highlights. You will also work with acrylic markers to brighten up your compositions.
