Part I: Drawing a face and creating a background with paperIn this first workshop, you will learn how to draw beautiful, proportional and harmonious faces. You will then learn how to make a background with paper and glue. Your canvas will be ready to paint for the second workshop.
Step 1:To begin, Maud will show you drawing techniques to create beautiful portraits. Learn how to observe proportions and details that make each person unique (roundness and angles, hair, forehead length, etc.).
Step 2:Maud will tell you more about the types of paper and glue to use. You will start your creation on canvas, gluing newspaper, book pages or decorative papers of any kind. You can choose the paper you prefer.
Step 3:Maud will guide you through finalizing your background with gesso. Once it is dry, she will show you how to make a portrait using a HB pencil.
