Capture the warm and inviting colours of a Canadian landscape! Explore the fleeting beauty of autumn landscapes with BC-based artist, Kathryn Wadel. In this 2-hour acrylic painting workshop, Kathryn will demonstrate how to cre-ate a warm and vibrant colour palette and will guide you through all the steps to create an expressive autumn-inspired stylized painting on canvas.

Part 1: Get to Know Your Materials
To begin, Kathryn will provide an overview of the materials, create a composition sketch and demonstrate colour mixing recipes to create an autumn-inspired colour palette.
Part 2: Stylized Landscape Painting Techniques
In part two, Kathryn will guide you through the steps to create an autumn-inspired stylized and expressive painting.

✓ Acrylic paints (Cadmium Red or Bright Red, Cadmium Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White)
✓ Palette
✓ Acrylic paint brushes (Filbert, flat and round synthetic)
✓ Palette knife
✓ Canvas paper or canvas (9”x12”)
✓ Masonite board or support board
✓ Painter’s tape
✓ Paper towel or cotton rag
