Do you often take a few minutes out of your day to experience the breathtaking moments of a sunset? Why not bring the beauty indoors with your very own sunset painting!
During this three-part workshop, Vancouver-based artist, Kathryn Wadel, will demonstrate how to customize your colour palette using primary colours, as well as guide you through the step-by-step creation of an original sunset-inspired acrylic painting.
Open to beginners.
Part 1: Get your materials ready
Get started with an overview of the materials you will be using. You will prepare your colour palette so that it is ready to mix.
Part 2: Start sketching and painting
During this second part, you will create composition sketches and enjoy a colour mixing demonstration. Then, you will get a step-by-step demonstration of painting techniques for creating your dream sunset.
Part 3: Clean up and ask questions
In this last part, you will get the opportunity to ask questions, and get some tips on how to clean up after painting. The instructor will give a useful demonstration on how to clean your brushes and keep them in good shape.
