This botanical-themed workshop is perfect for discovering or rediscovering watercolour painting. You’ll get the opportunity to experiment with various techniques for creating nasturtium. Get inspired with this delicate art form!
 
Open to beginners and intermediates.
Ages 14 to 99.

Part 1 : Technical Exercices


Bianca will deconstruct her paintings into simple exercises so that students can understand her thought process, brush strokes and colour combinations before creating the final piece. These exercises will consist of practicing gradient washes with watercolours, understanding bleeds and the shape of nasturtium to be able to paint them. Visit Instagram @artbybianca for example.


Part 2 : Final project

Using everything we learned in Part 1, we will create the final painting together, step by step.

 

List of materials to bring:

✓ Watercolor paper pad (approx 8.5 x 11 inches)
✓ 2 round brushes – one large, (approx. size #10) and one small (approx. size #6 with fine point)
✓ 4 watercolor colors: lemon yellow, grass green, bright red, burgundy
✓ Paper towel
✓ 2 glasses of water
✓ Masking tape to tape down paper
✓ 1 Pencil
