Intro to Abstract Acrylic Painting (EN)

Express yourself through abstract painting! Join BC-based artist Kathryn Wadel for an afternoon of acrylic painting for beginners. In this three-hour workshop, Kathryn will introduce you to acrylic painting materials, as well as demonstrate painting and colour mixing techniques to create a series of expressive abstract paintings. A great project to practice letting your creativity flow!

Open to beginners.

Part 1 : Get to know your materials

To begin, Kathryn will provide an overview of painting materials needed for the project, as well as demonstrate how to customize your colour palette.

Part 2 :
 Painting techniques and application

In part two, Kathryn will guide you through abstract painting techniques to create miniature works of art. You will learn how to work with paintbrushes and a palette knife to create a variety of effects.

Part 3 :
 Eco-conscious clean-up procedures + Q & A

To end the workshop, Kathryn will demonstrate eco-conscious brush cleaning and maintenance methods to keep your tools in top shape. She will then host a Q & A to answer all your acrylic painting questions.
