In this introductory drawing class, students will learn some essential drawing techniques in both graphite and ink. We will go over basic line drawing to different types of shading and how to apply these to a finished picture. This intro class is excellent for anyone with an interest in drawing and no prior experience is necessary.

Open to beginners.
Ages 12 to 99.

Part 1 : Material overview and warm up exercises

In part one of this class, Gabrielle will go over the materials used in this class. Students will then learn some basic warm up line drawing exercises.


Part 2 : Shading in graphite and ink. Final application of the techniques learned.

Gabrielle will go over different ways of building value in graphite and ink. The class will conclude with a final exercise utilizing all the techniques learned.

✓ Fine tip drawing pens: a range (microns: 02, 03, 08)
