Discover the fascinating world of pastels! In this two-hour workshop, Julie will first present all the necessary materials. You will then explore several pastel techniques: dry pastel, pencils and sticks, blending colours, working with skin tones, etc.
The workshop will end with the creation of a simple 3D shape, and intermediate-level creatives will be given the opportunity to produce a complex shape. The perfect workshop to discover or rediscover pastels.
Open to beginners and intermediates (ages 13 to 99)
*This workshop is recorded (you will receive the video link 48 to 72 hours after the workshop)
Part 1: Getting to know your materials
To begin, Julie will present all the necessary materials: pastels, paper, eraser, etc.
Part 2: Blending and making a simple 3D shape
In part two, you will learn how to properly blend colours and shades of gray, as well as how to make a 3D sphere.
Part 3: Going further and Q & A
To finish the workshop, intermediate-level creatives will be able to create a complex shape: a coloured or grayscale ear. Julie will also explain how to switch from one colour to another when painting. She will then answer any questions you may have about pastels and/or colours in a Q & A.
