Part 1 : Choosing Colour Harmonies

First, we'll look at how to select colours based on an image, as well as how to modify tints to obtain two versions of the same subject in cooler and warmer tones.

Part 2 : Base Coat

We’ll create our sketch, apply the base shades and wash them out with alcohol to create the coloured background on which we'll work next.

Part 3 : Painting with Pastels and Applying Finishing Touches

We'll add layers of pastels to highlight the subject. We'll work on getting the right values, contrasts and colour harmonies to create a coherent whole, while remaining free in our gestures and strokes to develop our own unique style.
