Celebrate summer by bringing some sunshine into your day! In this 1.5-hour workshop, you will learn how to paint a sunny summer landscape using a variety of vibrant watercolours. This time, less is more, as you will explore how to paint in a loose style using a limited colour palette. A great way to unwind after the work week. All experience levels are welcome!
Open to beginners and intermediates.
Ages 12 to 99.

Part 1: Material overview and background underpainting
In Part 1, Gabrielle will go over all the necessary materials. She will then demonstrate the underpainting stage using a wet-on-wet technique to build up the background.
Part 2: Glazing and finishing touches
In Part 2, Gabrielle will demonstrate a watercolour glazing technique that will help you build up layers and enhance your painting. You will then add any finishing touches, if necessary.
List of materials to bring:
✓ Watercolour paper (140 lb, cold press, minimum size 9 x 12 in)
✓ Watercolour paint (Rose/Pink, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cadmium Yellow)
✓ Watercolour brushes (a few round brushes: 10, 6, 2)
✓ Jar/container for water
✓ Masking tape
✓ Watercolour paint palette
