Part 1: Exploring the materials
To begin, Maud will introduce all the materials needed to complete the projects: paper, pencils, sketchbook, watercolours and brushes.Part 2: Time to get creative!
In Part 2, you will be guided through the creation of starry landscapes. You will have the chance to discover or rediscover several drawing and watercolour techniques, while getting useful tips and tricks to get you started. All of this through easy-to-follow steps!
List of materials to bring:
✓ DeSerres graphite pencils (HB or H)
✓ Staedtler® eraser
✓ Watercolour brushes (one #12 medium brush, one #2 finer brush, one very
fine brush)
✓ Watercolour paint (approx. 10-12 colours minimum, in jars or tubes)
✓ Watercolour sketchbook OR Watercolour paper (9 x 12 in, ideally 300 g minimum)
✓ Permanent markers (Staedtler®, Micron®, Faber-Castell® or Molotow®)
✓ Coloured pencils
✓ White acrylic marker AND/OR White gel pencil
✓ A well palette to mix your colours
✓ Masonite board (approximately 11 x 14 in) *If not using a sketchbook.
✓ Low-tack masking tape *If not using a sketchbook.
✓ Two jars of water
✓ Paper towels
✓ Cloth
✓ Hair dryer
✓ Watercolour paper to test colours before applying them
✓ A copy of the PDF file with the templates needed to complete the projects during the workshop
