In this workshop, students will create stylized watercolour illustrations of fungi.
Open to beginner and intermediate skill levels.
Ages 15 to 99.

Part 1: Material overview and initial pencil sketch
In part one of this class, Gabrielle will go over all of the materials being used in this class. Gabrielle will then demonstrate how to draw the subject working loosely from a photo.
Part 2: Watercolour painting
In part 2 of this class Gabrielle will demonstrate painting the subject with watercolours including how to mix specific colours to achieve colour matching.
List of materials to bring:
✓ Watercolour paper (minimum size 8”x10”)
✓ Watercolour paint (Hooker’s green, ultramarine blue, warm red, warm yellow, yellow ochre, purple)
✓ Watercolour brushes: a few round brushes (e.g. 2, 6, 8)
