Part 1: Composition

To begin, you will examine the images and gather your ideas through simple freehand sketches. You will then work on composition, choice of colours and transferring your drawings into your travel journal.

Part 2: Adding colour

In Part 2, you will add your colours. You will use watercolour wash and pigment dispersion techniques, alternating from one drawing to the next. This will allow the paint to dry and make it easier to layer the washes.

Part 3: Final touches

To complete your creations, you will add lettering, paper collages and permanent marker outlines.
