Arm Knitting with Waouh Wool

Why use knitting needles when you could use your arms! Knit yourself a fluffy cloud-like circular scarf in minutes with Waouh wool! This extraordinarily thick yarn is made of high-quality merino wool. Craft yourself a spectacularly warm and comfortable accessory with just one ball! A great project for beginners.

Instructions:

How to knit a chunky scarf with your arms

Step 1: Make a slip knot loop. Slide the slip knot loop over your right wrist with the yarn tail hanging closest to you and the working yarn hanging down furthest from you.

Step 2: Cast on. Make a loop with the working yarn. The working yarn should be closest to you and the yarn attached to your arm should be furthest away. Hold the loop with your right hand. Place your left hand through the loop, grab hold of the working yarn and pull it through the loop. Drop the loop you are holding in your right hand and place the loop you are holding in your left hand over your right wrist. Tighten this loop by pulling on the working yarn and the tail. Cast on 10 stitches in this way.

Step 3: Knit. Lay the working yarn over your RIGHT thumb. Close your RIGHT hand over the working yarn and slide the first stitch off your RIGHT hand, rotate this loop so the part that is connected to the ball falls in front of your wrist, then slide it onto your LEFT wrist. Repeat this with all the stitches on your arm.

Step 4: For the second row, repeat step 3 but in reverse. Lay the working yarn over your LEFT thumb. Close your LEFT hand over the working yarn and slide the first stitch off your LEFT hand, rotate this loop so the part that is connected to the ball falls in front of your wrist, then slide it onto your RIGHT wrist. Repeat this with all the stitches on your arm. Continue knitting in this way, back and forth, until your scarf is approximately 30 inches long. End with all your stitches on your LEFT arm, leaving at least 20 inches of working yarn to bind off with.

Step 5: Bind off. Knit 2 stitches onto your RIGHT arm. Next, with your LEFT hand, pick up the first stitch that you knit and bring it over the other stitch, letting it fall off your hand. Now knit the next stitch from your LEFT arm to your RIGHT. Again, lift the first stitch over the second and off your hand. Repeat this until all the stitches have been worked. Pull the tail of the yarn through the last stitch.

Step 6: Using the yarn tail, sew the ends of the scarf together to make a loop. Weave in the ends. Now you are ready to stay toasty warm all winter long!
