How to make custom glassware

Step 1: Wash and dry your glasses well. Draw swirling designs on your glass with a metallic Sharpie, making sure to leave at least 2 inches undecorated at the rim for your mouth.

Step 2: Draw a design on a piece of paper or print one from online, tape it to the inside of the glass with washi tape and trace it with a metallic Sharpie.

Step 3: Beginning at the bottom of your glass, make small dots with a metallic Sharpie. Make the dots closer together towards the bottom of your glass and farther apart as you get higher, ending about halfway up the glass. Paint as many glasses as you have guests. Let them dry completely before using.

You will need:

  • Glasses
  • Metallic Sharpie permanent markers
  • Do not draw on the glass near the rim
  • To respect food safety protocols, do not draw anywhere you would put your mouth
  • Hand wash glasses only
