PITT Artist Pens are famous for combining a modern brush nib design witha tradition of India ink. India ink offers artists odourless, permanent, waterproof, lightfast inks with a large variety of vibrant colours. The durablenib gives the freedom to create versatile ink brush strokes of broad, medium to narrow with an even application of colour.
In many countries, ink drawings have a very long history among artists.Their expressive power, covering properties, resistance to ageing as well asthe possibility of combining them with many other painting techniques have alwaysmade this medium interesting for artists and graphic designers. Faber-Castellhas brought together all of the advantages of drawing in Indian ink in a modernand uncomplicated disposable pen - the PITT artist pen. The high-quality brushpoint works both straight and bent without breaking. While the light coloursare transparent and, thus, well-suited to varnishing techniques, the darkcolours have good covering qualities. PITT artist pens have unsurpassedlight-fastness and the individual colours are marked with an asterisk-basedcode.

On wet paper, PITT Artist Pens behave like India ink flowing in the paper andcan still be reworked with a brush. Once dry, however, they are permanent andcannot be dissolved.
It is possible to paint or colour drawings using watercolours, once the ink issufficiently dry. This will not affect the super bright colours and deep blackink.
It goes without saying that the PITT artist pens are well suited to allconventional techniques using traditional markers. Their significantly higherlightfastness gives them a higher advantage.
