1. Start by covering the mask with tissue paper. Use a sponge brush to apply a coat of Mod Podge varnish glue to the mask. Tear small pieces of tissue paper and stick them to the layer of Mod Podge. Apply a second coat of varnish glue over the tissue paper and use the brush to ensure that the tissue takes the shape of the mask. Let dry at least 15 minutes.

2. Once the mask is dry, use tiny drops of hot glue to glue the feathers in slightly fanned-out rows. Start with the larger feathers on the outer edge of the mask.

3. Cover the tips of the feathers and the hot glue with washi tape. Place more decorative tape around the eye holes to emphasize the shape and style of the mask.

4. Use hot glue to glue a contrasting decorative element, such as a peacock feather or a large crystal, to the forehead of the mask and between the eye holes. Add small adhesive crystals to delineate the bridge of the nose and the cheekbones.

White plastic mask to decorate
Tissue paper
Mod Podge varnish glue
Medium size sponge brush
Decorative feathers in a variety of sizes and colours
Washi tape (decorative rice paper masking tape)
Decorative adhesive crystals
Hot glue gun and refills
