Pouring course 2 - Perfecting and problem solving
In this second part of the pouring course, you will learn to perfect your mastery of fluid paint. A demonstration of the "Dutch pour" technique will be shown and explained. You will also learn about the various options available to you to personalise your work even more once it has dried.
Open to intermediates.
Ages 12 to 99.

Part 1: Demonstration and explanation of the "Dutch pour" technique
In this part, you'll learn how to use a hair dryer for this pouring technique. From mixing the paint to applying it, and how to use the tools and accessories required for this technique.
Part 2: How to personalise your work once it's dry
This part will be both theoretical and practical. Mélyna will show you the various options available for personalising your work in your own image. From the use of metallic transfer sheets to acrylic markers, this section is designed to show you all the possibilities available to you in terms of personalisation.
Part 3: Varnishing your artwork
In this part of the course, you'll learn how to varnish your work properly. Mélyna will share her technique and her favourite products, as well as her tips and tricks for optimum results.
List of materials to bring:
✓ Small canvas (8x10)
✓ Acrylic paint (preferably dacryl fluid)
✓ Pebeo or liquitex smoothing medium
✓ Vernis liquitex in bottle, finished according to preference. I always use the ultra gloss
✓ Raphael soft acryl brush (my favourite brush for applying varnish) or a sponge brush or sea sponge
✓ Hair dryer with blow-dry nozzle
