Leather, canvas, wood, plastic, denim: Angelus Leather Acrylic Paint can be used on countless materials, making it perfect to customise almost all of your favourite items. When properly applied, it does not crack, peel, fade or rub off. The paint is non-toxic and water-based for easy clean up. It can be applied with a brush, sponge or airbrush (some thinning may be required for airbrush application). Paints can be blended together for countless custom colours—even metallics can be blended with standard colours!

Tips:

Painting on leather
Always remove the factory finish before painting (on leather and most non-fabric materials) by doing 3-5 passes with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer.

Painting on fabrics
Mix Angelus Paint with Angelus 2-Soft to keep painted fabrics soft and more laundry-friendly. Perfect for painting on fabric shoes, jackets, hoodies, etc.

Painting on plastic
Mix Angelus Paint with Angelus 2-Hard to paint hard surfaces such as plastic or metal. Perfect for painting the plastic on shoes, water bottles, flasks, etc.

Airbrushing
Use Angelus paint straight out of the bottle in any airbrush with a .5 mm or bigger nozzle. To thin paint, use Angelus 2-Thin. Always use a strainer.

Finish
Use Angelus 4-Coat Finishers (urethane-based finishers) to change the sheen of your artwork, or protect it.

Fabric Customization: Make Every Textile Uniquely Yours

Fabric customization is one of the most personal and expressive forms of creative making. Whether you are painting a design on a jacket, tie-dyeing a t-shirt, adding embroidery to a tote bag or applying an iron-on transfer to a pair of jeans, the right supplies allow you to transform everyday textiles into one-of-a-kind pieces. DeSerres carries a selection of fabric customization products suited to a wide range of techniques and skill levels.

Choosing the Right Supplies for Fabric Customization

Fabric paint is available in a wide range of colours and finishes, including matte, metallic, glitter and puff effects. Most fabric paints are heat-set with an iron or dryer to ensure the colour holds through washing. Textile markers offer a more precise application for detailed designs, lettering and illustration directly on fabric. Fabric dye allows for full immersion dyeing or tie-dye techniques, producing vibrant, all-over colour effects. Iron-on transfers and heat-transfer vinyl provide a clean, graphic result and are particularly well suited to text and geometric designs. Embellishments such as rhinestones, studs, patches and fabric glue add dimension and texture to any customization project. When working on fabric, always pre-wash the textile before applying paint or dye to remove any sizing that could affect adhesion. Stencils can also be used with fabric paint for clean, repeatable motifs. Explore our Decorative Paint, Stencils & Templates and Creative Hobbies collections for more creative inspiration.
