What do I need to start painting with gouache?
A basic gouache kit needs paint, brushes and paper. For paint, a set of 12 colours covers most needs; add titanium white separately since it's used constantly for mixing. For brushes, round synthetics in sizes 2, 6 and 10 handle most gouache work. For paper, use illustration board or heavy paper of at least 200 g/m2 to prevent warping.
