How to choose the right canvas for your project
1- GALLERY CANVASES
Gallery canvases are thicker than regular canvases, with profiles of 1.5 inches or more. These canvases have a professional look and can typically be hung as they are without the need to be framed. All of our pre-stretched canvases are suitable for use with acrylic or oil paints.
Professional quality: Apollon canvases are available in the widest size range our store has to offer. Custom orders are also available to make sure you get exactly what you need.
Made from Aspen or linden wood, Apollon canvases come in four thicknesses: 3, 2.5, 1.5 and 0.75 inches

Intermediate quality: Barcelona canvases are a great value. All Barcelona canvases come in packs of 2 or 5, making them ideal for creating multiples or a series of works. These high-quality economic canvases feature 7oz cotton canvas that has been double primed and a 0.75 inch profile.
Student quality: Milano canvases are the best-priced option for students. They have a gallery profile of 1.5 inches and do not need to be framed. They feature a 6 oz cotton canvas that has been triple primed and a medium tooth surface.

Best value: Value canvases are ideal for practicing techniques, doing tests, and group painting activities. Along with 6.7 oz gesso-primed cotton, they feature a medium-rough textured surface, a 5/8 inch profile and are ready to use with either acrylic or oil paints.

2- RAW CANVASES (GALLERY AND BY THE FOOT)
Burlap Gallery Canvases:
Burlap gallery canvases have a 1.5-inch profile. Unprimed, they are an all-purpose canvas with a rough texture ideal for mixed media.
Linen Gallery Canvases:
Linen gallery canvases feature a 1.5-inch profile and are made from 100% linen primed with a transparent gesso. They are ready to paint on with a fine texture and are ideal for artists of all levels who want to paint on a toned surface.
Canvas by the Foot:
