Deck the halls with decorative paper this holiday season. With a few simple snips and folds, you can transform plain sheets of paper into a festive work of art.
MATERIALS:
- White and green Fabriano Tiziano paper
- Metallic gold cardstock paper
- 10-inch embroidery hoop
- Gold crepe paper
- White crepe paper
- White pipe cleaners
- Craft knife
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Pencil
INSTRUCTIONS:
How to make a paper wreath
Step 1:
Using the paper flower tutorial found here, make 5 large paper poinsettias from cardstock and 5 small crêpe paper poinsettias.
Step 2:
Cut berry and stem shapes out of metallic gold cardstock. Cut 20 leaf shapes of various sizes out of green cardstock.
Step 3:
Separate the rings of the embroidery hoop and put aside the outer ring with the screw. Wrap the pipe cleaner stems of the paper poinsettias around the hoop, securing them with hot glue.
Step 4:
Glue paper leaves and berries around the wreath between the poinsettias. Display on a door or wall.
