Plastic model to be assembled and painted of the US M60A3 105 mm in 1/35 scale. This reference is subject to limited series production. The 35141 1/35 Modern U.S. Accessory Set is also included (previously, only one cluster of ref. 35141 was included). The M60A3 and M1 Abrams were the pillars of the American armored forces in the 1980s. The M60A3 had a cast-iron chassis inherited from the 1950s M48 tanks, and was powered by an air-cooled supercharged diesel engine. The turret, also made of cast iron was equipped with a 105 mm barrel with thermal sleeve to protect the tube against deformation. Other technologically advanced additions at the time included a laser rangefinder and a ballistic computer, which gave the M60A3 formidable striking power. Production began in 1978, and the 3,600 produced played a leading military role for more than 20 years. Length: 270 mm, width: 104 mm. The model faithfully reproduces the shape of the M60A3 with its rounded molded turret and lower frame. The turret reproduces with great realism the cast-iron finish of the real tank. The model can be assembled with or without a thermal sleeve attached to the main gun. You can choose to build the model with the crew hatch open or closed. The driver’s hatch is mobile. The authentic suspension is recreated using separate parts. Belt-type tracks. 3 sets of markings and a commander figure are included in the kit. Comes with a wide range of accessories recreating small arms and other equipment.
