Creating a Playful Character: Part I (FR)
Discover how to easily draw a fun cartoon-style character! Whatever your skill level, this workshop will teach you creation and drawing techniques used by real illustrators. Step by step, Richard simplifies the art of drawing to create not only a character, but also a 3D illusion.

You will then learn how to texture your character by playing with light and shadow effects. A workshop for all levels that allows you to have fun, while learning pro techniques!

Part I: How to create a character

To begin, Richard will introduce himself and present all the necessary materials. You will then tackle various exercises such as creating a playful character, as well as creating the character that will be used in the next workshop (Colouring a Playful Character – Part II).


Part II: Finalizing the creature (April 12th)

To end the workshop, you will learn how to structure and finalize your character. Richard will walk you through the steps to create your critter using light and shadow effects that may even come in handy if you participate in the Colouring a Playful Character – Part II workshop.
