Pébéo porcelain paint is water-based. Easy to use, if offers a great choice of colours miscible with one another, shiny and resistant to light. 

 

Pébéo's Porcelain 150 can be applied on porcelain, earthenware and metal, and on any other support capable of withstanding a temperature of 150°C (300°F).

 

Use: After a 24-hour drying period, place the painted porcelain in a cold oven. Once a temperature of 150°C (300°F) has been reached, bake for 35 minutes. The colours then take on a real enamelled appearance and are dishwasher safe.

 
 

To make colours more liquid, use the Porcelain 150 thinner. A matte finish can be obtained by adding a few drops of matte medium to the colour. The shiny medium lightens the colours without causing them to fade.

 

Care: Clean paintbrushes in soapy water.

 

Supports: Porcelain, earthenware, ceramic...

 

Drying time: A few minutes for the surface, 24 hours minimum throughout.

 

Important notes:

After baking at 160°C (325°F) in a domestic oven, the depth of the colour is enhanced and the paints become dishwasher safe. Applied on glass and crystal, the transparency of Vitrea 160 colours allows you to take full advantage of the light; however, Vitrea 160 may also be applied on other thermo-stable surfaces which can withstand a temperature of 160°C. Available in liquid, paste or felt tip markers, the Vitrea 160 colours display the same characteristics and properties. Either used alone or together, you are completely free to experiment with the effects and techniques of the paints. The glossy, frosted or shimmer appearance of the colours may be used as they are, or mixed together, providing an infinite variety of light and shadow effects. To thin colours, use the Vitrea 160 thinner. The gloss and frosted mediums are used to lighten the colours without changing their technical characteristics; iridescent medium, when mixed with colours, produces iridescent colours. Before painting with Vitrea 160, simply degrease with alcohol or soapy water. Allow to air dry for 24 hours, and then bake in an ordinary domestic oven. Place the decorated object in a cold oven. •Shiny plastics may need to be lightly sanded to improve adhesion.
•GLASS, METAL & MORE contains solvents that make it strong, but they do have an odor. Always use with plenty of ventilation.
•Avoid using on rigid foams as the solvent may degrade the foam.
•Keep glue away from any open flame or spark. Product is not flammable once dry.
•Glue can be thinned and cleaned-up when wet with toluene, found in hardware stores.

INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1: Protect your work surface with old newspaper or a plastic table cover before you begin. Prepare a glass of water to rinse your brush, and paper towels to dry it between each color. STEP 2: Each area on the canvas is numbered and corresponds to a paint color in the pots. Using one of the brushes, fill in the sections with the paint matching the same number. STEP 3: Rinse your brush between each color and continue until the entire canvas is painted! PRACTICAL TIPS: Paint from top to bottom of the canvas to avoid smudging wet paint with your arm or hand. Start with the larger color areas, then move on to the smaller ones. Work on the smallest areas while the paint is still fresh to prevent it from drying too quickly. Apply a second coat if necessary. You can dilute the paint with a little water if needed. Allow each layer to dry between coats. Close the paint pots tightly after use to prevent the paint from drying out. Use the reference sheet or the numbers printed directly on the canvas to locate the areas to paint.

Tips:

Painting on leather
Always remove the factory finish before painting (on leather and most non-fabric materials) by doing 3-5 passes with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer.

Painting on fabrics
Mix Angelus Paint with Angelus 2-Soft to keep painted fabrics soft and more laundry-friendly. Perfect for painting on fabric shoes, jackets, hoodies, etc.

Painting on plastic
Mix Angelus Paint with Angelus 2-Hard to paint hard surfaces such as plastic or metal. Perfect for painting the plastic on shoes, water bottles, flasks, etc.

Airbrushing
Use Angelus paint straight out of the bottle in any airbrush with a .5 mm or bigger nozzle. To thin paint, use Angelus 2-Thin. Always use a strainer.

Finish
Use Angelus 4-Coat Finishers (urethane-based finishers) to change the sheen of your artwork, or protect it.
