Together at last—this new set combines Diazo Photo Emulsion (26 oz) and Diazo Sensitizer (2 oz). Together, they offer professional-grade results and remove the need for expensive equipment and darkrooms. For use with polyester screen fabrics, Speedball’s Diazo Photo Emulsion and Sensitizer may be used with any water-soluble or solvent-based ink, and can be easily removed with Speedball’s Photo Emulsion Remover.
Speedball Screen Filler can be used alone or with Speedball Drawing Fluid. The Screen Filler method of printing is called direct block-out or "Negative Method". This is where Screen Filler is used to block out those areas that you do not wish to print. This allows the ink to be forced through the screen wherever the Screen Filler has not been applied. This product is AP Non-Toxic and conforms to ASTM D-4236.
To clean up:Use Speedball Speed Clean to remove screen filler or mix 1 cup of Arm & Hammer’s Washing Soda dissolved in one 1 gallon of water. Apply cleaner to both sides with paintbrush. Scrub with a nylon bristle brush. Apply again to both sides. Let stand in a horizontal position for three to five minutes. Scrub with a nylon bristle brush while spraying with a forceful stream of hot water.
Speedball Drawing Fluid is designed to be used with Speedball Screen Filler. This method of printing is called the resist or "positive method". To use, apply drawing fluid with a brush, allow fluid to dry, then coat the screen with screen filler, when dry the drawing fluid can be washed out. Allowing the drawn image to printed. This product is AP Non-Toxic and conforms to ASTM D-4236.
