La Petite Aquarelle is l'Aquarelle’s (Sennelier's professional watercolour range) little sister. Made in France, this fine watercolour is delicate and colourful, and its pigments have been carefully selected for their miscibility. Reinforced with glycerine, the binder has been formulated to soften the application of colour on paper.
La Petite Aquarelle is designed to facilitate mixing and washing, and is ideal for beginner-level artists, as well as for painting outdoors. La Petite Aquarelle travel boxes feature flexible elastic straps so that they can be held effortlessly in the palm of your hand. Artists will appreciate how easily and comfortably these boxes can be handled. With La Petite Aquarelle, Sennelier simplifies watercolour painting. A companion for all artists, La Petite Aquarelle is a must-have in any travel art kit.
This travel box includes 10 tubes (12 ml).
Daniel Smith watercolours offer a wide range of extra-fine pigments. The sheer range of possibility they offer is endless and unparalleled in the industry. These handmade pigments have superior light fastness: 233 colours have a light fastness rating of = I or II, 3 with light fastness rating = IV (Opera Pink, Alizarin Crimson and Rose madder genuine)
Unique handmade colours with authentic mineral pigments. Primatek colours are made from naturally occurring pigments, reviving a tradition of making paints the way the ancient Egyptians, Mayans and other early cultures did. The diversity is amazing, from the subtle earth tones of Hematite, Zoisite, Tiger's Eye and Sedona to the exquisite jewel shades of Rhodonite, Amazonite and Lapis Lazuli Genuine. As you paint with these colours, you'll experience something new in your watercolour mixtures and paintings!
Interference and pearlescent colours provide subtle luminosity and almost magical colour shifting effects. Made with microscopic transparent mica platelets coated with various thicknesses of titanium dioxide, Interference colors refract light in delicate tints of blue, copper, green, gold, lilac, red and silver. Applied to white paper, they’re virtually colourless, but when applied over a dark surface, they come alive with pale, shimmering colour. Pearlescent colours offer a consistent, pearly shimmer without the light-shifting quality of the Interference colours. Mix the Interference and Pearlescent colours with standard tube colours to add a wonderful sense of depth, or apply them on top of dried colour to give localized effects on subjects such as flower petals, shimmering water or plumage.
Duochrome colours offer rich, vibrant, three-dimensional colour that actually changes colours when viewed from different angles. Depending on the reflective light, each bounces between two distinctive colours for pure visual excitement. With a little experimentation, you’ll find that any of the Duochromes can illuminate, strengthen and enliven your palette.
Iridescent colours are opaque, with a more pronounced shine than the Interference and Pearlescent colors. Their colour is constant-not changing with viewing angle or light direction as with the Interference paints. Made with mica platelets coated with iron oxide, the Iridescents all have a pronounced sheen, and several of the colors have a coppery, golden or silvery luster. Try Iridescents alone or mixed with standard colours for intriguing textural effects.
