She begins her works with an improbable association of ideas, a bit like visual word games. Her paintings are often humorous, with details that you don't see right away. “I try to paint in a way that opens the door to multiple stories; stories that people can tell in their own way as they watch.”
She works with both acrylics and watercolours. Animals inspire her with their great poetic and humorous potential. As a native of the Lower St. Lawrence area, her great attachment to the river, countryside and infinite skies also inhabit her creations. With watercolours, she paints playful and colourful images mostly inspired by children and their ability to create imaginary worlds. She honours the power of imagination and constantly strives to keep it alive.
