The goal of the workshop is to create a variety of colors with a reduced palette, practicing watercolour techniques and developing creativity.
Open to beginners and intermediates.
Ages 12 to 99.

Part 1: The preliminary design
Developing a simple basic motif followed by colouring from our warm colour palette. Working with a limited colour palette as a base helps us to harmonise our composition and become more skilful at mixing colours.
Part 2: Composition and improvisation
In this part, we'll be working on our ability to compose and link together elements to create a harmonious, balanced work. We'll need to call on our imagination and our sense of creativity, making this workshop a relaxing, letting-go activity par excellence.
Part 3: Adding detail
Using our permanent and acrylic markers, we'll add details and motifs to bind and embellish the basic shapes. An introduction to mixed media and relaxed drawing.

✓ Daniel Smith watercolours: ultramarine blue (pb29), pyrole scarlet red (pr255), new cambodia yellow (py97-py110)
✓ Circle templates (optional)
✓ Palette for colour mixing
✓ H graphite pencil, and eraser
✓ Permanent felt pencils with fine tips
✓ Black and white acrylic paint markers (posca type)
✓ Table salt, plastic wrap, water tray
