Unleash your creativity and travel around the world! In this two-hour workshop, you will explore watercolour techniques, while creating beautiful vacation-inspired landscapes.
To begin, artist Maud Besson will present all the necessary materials and how to use them. You will then have the opportunity to create your landscapes on watercolour paper, or in a travel sketchbook – a great surface for getting creative anywhere, anytime! Step by step, Maud will show you all her techniques.
Open to beginners and intermediates.

Part 1: Getting to know your materials
To begin, Maud will go through all the necessary materials for the workshop: papers, sketchbooks, pencils, watercolours and brushes.
Part 2: Project time
In part two, you will have the chance to discover or rediscover several watercolour and drawing techniques. Maud will explain her techniques for completing the project, as well as provide easy and useful tips for creating beautiful watercolour landscapes. All you’ll need to do is follow the steps!
List of materials to bring:
✓ DeSerres HB or H graphite pencils
✓ Staedtler® eraser
✓ Watercolour brushes (one medium #12, one fine #2 and one very fine)
✓ Watercolour paint set (10-12 colours minimum, in jars or tubes)
✓ Watercolour paper or sketchbook (9 x 12 in, minimum 300 g thick)
✓ A well palette to mix your colours
✓ Masonite board (approximately 11 x 14 in)
✓ Low-tack green tape
✓ 2 jars of water
✓ Paper towels
✓ Cloth
✓ Hair dryer
✓ Watercolour-type paper to test your colours before applying them
✓ A printed copy of the PDF file with the required templates for the workshop
