Plastic model to assemble and paint of the Yamaha RZV500R in 1/12 scale. Tamiya presents an updated reissue of the ref. 14037 1/12 Yamaha RZV500R (last sold in 2011) with a new double-sided B5 size booklet containing full size color photos of the bike for reference and an updated instruction manual. The Yamaha RZV500R was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1983 with specifications that make it virtually equivalent to the YZR500 race bike. Inheriting the YZR’s lightweight and compact design, the RZV was equipped with a water-cooled 2-stroke 500cc V4 engine, capable of developing 64 hp and reaching a maximum speed of 230 km/h, giving it performance worthy of a 1000cc motorcycle. The RZV500R ushered in a new era for 2-stroke sport bikes and benefited from Yamaha’s considerable expertise in 2-stroke engines and racing. Scale 1/12. Length: 172 mm, width: 56 mm, height: 97 mm. Includes a new double-sided brochure in B5 format with color photos serving as reference for painting. Comes with an updated instruction manual and cover in 4 languages. Realistically depicts details such as the water-cooled 2-stroke V4 500 cc engine, SU carburettors, air fi lter and chambers. The Yamaha Monocross rear suspension is authentically depicted with a metal spring. The 1.6 mm screw heads have been replaced by +-shaped ones, a small screwdriver is included for this purpose. Germany employed a number of half-track vehicles during WWII, among them the prolific Sd.Kfz. 250 series. From transportation duties to communications vehicles, ammo carriers and more, they were truly versatile vehicles. The Sd.Kfz. 250/3 is rather well known for Rommel’s having used it as a command car during the fighting in North Africa; he named it the Greif (“griffin”), appropriate for the vehicle which carried him as he seemed to swoop around North Africa trying to thwart Allied intentions. Traits: This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 137mm. From the frame antenna to the complex surfaces of the armor, the subject is captured in style. Features a realistic interior with details such as radio equipment. Maybach straight-six engine is expertly recreated in the front of the model. Link-type assembly tracks give an authentic finish. Plastic model to assemble and paint of the M24 Chaffee light tank in 1/35 scale. We are delighted to announce the release of a new original Tamiya M24 Chaffee model. Developed to succeed the M3/M5 Stuart light tanks, the M24 Chaffee was officially adopted in 1944. The Chaffee had sloped armour on the turret and chassis and had considerable firepower from its main 75 mm gun, originally developed for the B-25 bomber. Rather unusual for an American tank, its designers adopted a torsion bar suspension. From January 1945, the M24 was also part of the 1st Armored Division in Italy and was even deployed in the Pacific, although it did not participate in the fighting. After the war, 302 were supplied to the British forces as part of the Lend-Lease and two were sent to the Soviets for evaluation. Model to assemble and paint - 1/35 scale. Length: 159 mm, width: 87 mm. The compact and discreet form is reproduced in style thanks to extensive research on the real tank. Details such as the barrel shield, molded designs on the front of the turret and weld lines are faithfully reproduced. Injection molded wings feature realistic bolts and are easy to assemble. Sand protection parts for the wings are also optionally included. The assembly tracks consist of straight sections in one piece. The 35141 1/35 Modern U.S. Accessory Set is also included (previously, only one cluster of ref. 35141 was included). The M60A3 and M1 Abrams were the pillars of the American armored forces in the 1980s. The M60A3 had a cast-iron chassis inherited from the 1950s M48 tanks, and was powered by an air-cooled supercharged diesel engine. The turret, also made of cast iron was equipped with a 105 mm barrel with thermal sleeve to protect the tube against deformation. Other technologically advanced additions at the time included a laser rangefinder and a ballistic computer, which gave the M60A3 formidable striking power. Production began in 1978, and the 3,600 produced played a leading military role for more than 20 years. Length: 270 mm, width: 104 mm. The model faithfully reproduces the shape of the M60A3 with its rounded molded turret and lower frame. The turret reproduces with great realism the cast-iron finish of the real tank. The model can be assembled with or without a thermal sleeve attached to the main gun. You can choose to build the model with the crew hatch open or closed. The driver’s hatch is mobile. The authentic suspension is recreated using separate parts. Belt-type tracks. 3 sets of markings and a commander figure are included in the kit. Tamiya is pleased to announce the updated reissue of the ref. 14014 1/12 Honda RS1000 Endurance Racer, from the last production in 2015, with a new double-sided booklet in A4 format containing full-size color photos of the motorcycle as a reference for painting, as well as an updated instruction manual. In 1980, Japan embarked on endurance racing with the addition of the 8 Hours of Suzuka. Honda is recognized as a designer of Japanese motorcycle engines and was one of the first Japanese pioneers in endurance. In 1976, their RCB bike based on the CB750 won seven impressive victories in eight races and gave birth to the CB900F, a road replica equipped with a 900 cc DOHC engine. The CB900F then served as the basis for the Honda RS1000, which was developed to comply with new rules implemented after the endurance series achieved world championship status in 1980. Its air-cooled, double overhead camshaft, 16-valve in-line four-cylinder engine was extended to 999 cc and developed over 130 hp. If its configuration was relatively conventional, with a telescopic fork at the front and a swinging arm at the back, in 1981, the front was equipped with an anti-dive system to accompany larger fairings. Throughout his career, the RS1000 was continuously updated. In 1980, the Fontan/Moineau duo won the drivers' championship and the fifth consecutive Honda manufacturer title. The following year, the RS1000 was omnipresent in all eight races, but was finally beaten by Kawasaki for the title.
