Part 1: Get to know your tools and techniques
In Part 1, Kathryn will introduce the drawing materials, including visual examples of their applications. She’ll guide you through exercises to test the tools, as well as create gradient scales, three-dimensional shapes and expressive linework.
Part 2: Combining techniques and drawing practiceIn Part 2, Kathryn will demonstrate how she combines these techniques to create a simple landscape drawing using graphite on paper. She’ll share her artistic approach and helpful tips for drawing plein air and in the studio. Partici-pants are welcome to practice combining the techniques to create a personalized drawing.
