This workshop will give you the opportunity to learn more about watercolor techniques for creating urban landscapes and mixed media travel journals. Program: Demonstration and explanation of the type of equipment used and how to use it. You'll learn how to create beautiful watercolor landscapes and how to makesuccess urban watercolors. One or more projects accessible to all will also be completed during the workshop. Step by step, artist Maud Besson will show you all her techniques!
Open to beginners and intermediates.

Part 1: Demonstration and explanation of the equipment used during the workshop
Maud will show you the type of materials to use during the workshop, including types of paper, travel journals, pencils, watercolors and brushes.
Part 2: Project realization
Maud will show and explain her techniques for creating urban landscapes. Discover or rediscover several drawing and watercolor techniques while learning simple, practical tools. You'll be shown step-by-step, and several projects accessible to all will be completed during the workshop.
List of materials to bring:
✓ DeSerres HB or H graphite pencils
✓ Staedtler eraser
✓ Medium watercolor brush n.12 and a finer brush n.2 + a very fine brush
✓ Watercolor paint - Set of approx. 10-12 colors minimum in cups or tubes
✓ Watercolor paper 9x12", or 7x10 "all brands, or watercolor travel notebook (Paper thickness ideally 300 gr.)
✓ Set of fine black felt-tip pens
✓ Colored pencils
✓ White Molotow acrylic felt
✓ A palette with honeycombs for mixing colors
✓ Masonite board 11x14" approx. to stretch your sheets if you're not using a travel notebook
✓ Low-adhesion green masking tape for stretching your sheets if you're not using a travel notebook
✓ 2 jars of water
✓ Paper towel and cloth rag
✓ Hair dryer
✓ Watercolor-type paper to test colors before applying
✓ A copy of the attached PDF file containing the templates we need to make the projects during the workshop
