Coloured Instax Filters

Materials:

  • Instax camera
  • Instax film
  • Coloured cellophane
  • Stick glue
  • Cardstock paper
  • Scissor or craft knife
  • Markers
  • ½-inch Chicago screw post

How to see the world in a new light

Step 1: Draw 2 circles, approximately 2 inches in diameter on a piece of thick paper. Draw smaller circles in the center that are slightly bigger than the lens of your Instax camera. Trace a roll of Washi tape to get the perfect size! Draw a small tab on one side of each circle so that you can hold the filter.

Step 2: Using a pair of scissors or a craft knife, cut out your circles. Make sure not to cut off your tabs!

Step 3: Cut a small piece of coloured cellophane and glue it between the paper circles, lining up the tabs. Trim the edges with scissors.

Step 4: Make as many different coloured filters as you like! Punch a hole in the tabs and attach them all together with a Chicago screw. Hang it from your wrist strap and head out for a photo adventure!
