Acrylic Exploration: Pond Reflections (FR)

An exploratory acrylic workshop that covers transparency and opacity with an explosion of colours! You'll learn how to work in layers to give depth to your projects. The workshop also explores mixed media techniques, incorporating collage into the creative process. 

Open to beginners and intermediates.
Ages 12 to 99.

Part 1: Presentation and exploration of the material

To begin, Marie-Hélène will present the necessary mediums and their characteristics, as well as the different colour application techniques for this project.
 

Part 2: Creating the landscape

With step-by-step guidance, you'll create this summer-inspired project by putting the techniques you've learned into practice. Marie-Hélène will share her tips for creating vibrant colours that will make your artwork pop. 

List of materials to bring:

✓ Acrylic colour set
✓ Palette for mixing colours
✓ Set of brushes for acrylic
✓ Painting knife (diamond shape, medium size)
✓ Jar of matte fluid acrylic medium
✓ One or more sheets of patterned fine paper
✓ Small canvas or canvas board (approx. 10 x 10 cm)
✓ Jar of water
✓ Absorbent cloth
