Break away from realism and explore stylized landscape painting with BC-based artist Kathryn Wadel!
In this intermediate, acrylic painting workshop, Kathryn will guide you through colour mixing techniques, as well as various drawing and painting techniques to create a stylized landscape painting on canvas. A painting method that will enable you to unleash your creativity and further explore your own artistic style.
Open to beginners and intermediate.
Ages 14 to 99.

Part 1: Get to know your materials
December 11th at 1 P.M. (EST)
To begin, Kathryn will provide an overview of the painting tools and how to set up your palette for success!
Part 2: Stylized drawing & landscape painting
December 18th at 1 P.M. (EST)
In part two, Kathryn will guide participants through colour mixing, as well as stylized drawing and painting techniques to create a landscape painting on canvas. To end the workshop, Kathryn will share helpful tips for developing a more eco-conscious painting practice through responsible brush cleaning and maintenance methods. She will then answer all your acrylic painting questions in a Q & A.

List of materials to bring:
✓ Canvas pad/paper (9 x 12 in)
✓ Acrylic paints (Naphthol Red or Cadmium Red Hue, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Light or Bright Yellow and Titanium White)
✓ Acrylic paintbrushes
✓ Paper towel or painting rag
✓ Masonite board/support board (minimum 10 x 13 in)
✓ Painter’s tape
✓ Two recycled glasses/plastic jars
