Discover the colour wheel: an essential tool for artists! Have you ever had trouble finding the right colour combination for your artwork? Or weren’t sure which colours to use to create a harmonious blend? For artists, colour harmony can, at first, be quite complex and difficult to master.
In this two-hour workshop, Julie will explore different types of colour combinations in painting and put all your doubts to rest. You will then put your newly acquired knowledge into practice by creating several simple artworks. A workshop that will inspire you to explore the richness of colour!

Part 1: The colour wheel
To begin, Julie will teach you how to read and use the colour wheel, as well as the information it contains.Part 2: Colour harmony
In Part 2, Julie will present the six most common types of colour combinations in painting – combinations that will work every time, no matter what technique you’re using, or subject you’re painting.Part 3: Putting theory into practice
To end the workshop, you’ll learn how to use two types of combinations in simple landscapes. Julie will also cover some other small but important topics: composition, different values, contrasts and textures, as well as several colour mixing possibilities within the same colour scheme. There will also be a Q & A session.
