Part 1: Getting to know your materials
To begin, Maud will present all the materials needed for the workshop, including paper, pencils, as well as India ink and brushes.Part 2: Project time!
In Part 2, you will have the chance to discover or rediscover several drawing and India ink techniques. Maud will explain her techniques for creating octopuses, while providing useful tips and tricks to get you started. All of this through easy-to-follow steps!
List of materials to bring:
✓ DeSerres graphite pencils (HB or H)
✓ Staedtler eraser
✓ Watercolour brushes (one #12 medium brush, one #2 finer brush, one very
fine brush)
✓ India ink (liquid or block)
✓ Watercolour paper (9 x 12 in, ideally 300 g minimum)
✓ Permanent markers (Staedtler, Micron, Faber-Castell or Molotow)
✓ A well palette to mix your colours
✓ Masonite board (approximately 11 x 14 in)
✓ Low-tack masking tape
✓ Two jars of water
✓ Paper towels
✓ Cloth
✓ Hair dryer
✓ Watercolour paper to test colours before applying them
✓ A copy of the PDF file with the templates needed to complete the projects during the workshop
