Brands - fabriano

Fabriano is an Italian company that has been making high-quality paper since 1264. The importance of paper was at its peak during the Renaissance. At that time, many artists, among them Michelangelo, used paper produced by the paper mills of Fabriano, which brought the company much fame in Italian cities and abroad. In 1782, in the middle of the Industrial Revolution, Pietro Miliani founded Cartiere Miliani. His grandson Giuseppe Miliani managed to transform the family business into a major industrial complex and international company. They were awarded the gold medal at the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London. This expertise still continues today: the euro, a technologically-advanced banknote renowned for its anti-counterfeiting features, is in large part produced by Fabriano. Fabriano works to create top-quality paper and paper-made objects that respect the environment and centuries-old historical tradition.
